Time for another instalment of ‘The Write Up’! This time we’re headed to beautiful Byron Bay, where we chat to Kasper and Bec of Byron Bay Camping & Disposals.
What’s the name of your store? Byron Bay Camping & Disposals (BBCD)
Where are you located? 1/1 Tasman Way, Byron Bay NSW 2481
Owned & operated by? Myself (Kasper) and my wife, Bec.
How long have you been running BBCD? Since 2014, so nine years now.
What did you do previously? I (Kasper) was a landscaper and Bec a CEO for a community services organisation. We were both looking for a career-shift, hopefully something that could combine our love of the outdoors and reduce our job stress!
And so what made you decide to give running the store a go? Well, the business came up for sale at the right time, really. I already spent most of my time outdoors – either camping, hunting, or fishing – and with Bec’s admin, accounting, and organisational skills it just seemed like it was meant to be. Within no time we had settled into being retailers and found awesome people to help us run our new business.
How do you like to describe BBCD? Byron Bay Camping & Disposals is a local, family-owned business servicing the Byron Shire and its visitors for over 40 years.
What does your team pride themselves on? We work very hard to provide the best possible customer experience. Our goal is to help our customers get what they need, and with our combined experience our locals and other re-visiting customers trust us and listen to our advice and suggestions.
What do you like about the Supex brand? It’s a great company supplying quality and affordable products.
